When it’s your passion, it’s not work—it’s a calling that fills each day with purpose and excitement. For the past 25 years, I have been living the dream, creating, designing, and building websites & apps that aren’t just that—they’re experiences. As a Product and UI/UX designer, I’m like a digital matchmaker, ensuring every scroll and click sparks joy between users and screens.

I’ve always been drawn to tech—the power to connect, communicate, and transform. But here’s the real heart of my story: my love for helping people. It’s what gets me up in the morning (along with a strong cup of coffee).

Whether I’m working with a small startup or a larger business, seeing them succeed online is the best part of my job. The tech world moves fast, but I’m here for the ride—ready to guide and support you, leading the way with a smile.

Marina Roxas Carpenter: A Journey through Design

25 Years of Creativity and Innovation

My journey has been a road filled with creativity, challenges, and cherished moments, all of which have shaped me into the web designer and developer I am today.

My journey took its first steps at the turn of the millennium. Fresh out of college, I embarked on my career as a Production Artist Intern at the Orange County Business Journal. This was where my foundation was built, amidst the hustle of deadlines and the thrill of seeing my designs in print.

The Dawn of a Dream

The new millennium was a period of growth and exploration. I landed my first full-time designer role in 2000, which paved the way to a four-year tenure at an advertising agency. This experience was crucial, honing my skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. Following this, I transitioned to a Marketing Manager position at a business consulting firm, where I expanded my expertise into strategic marketing. During this time, I also met my soulmate, got engaged, and we’ve been inseparable for almost 2 decades.

The Formative Years

As I moved into a role as a Senior Product Designer in the software and tech industry for 11 years, my focus shifted towards the digital realm—specifically UI and UX Design for apps, software, and web design. This era was marked by significant personal milestones as well; our family grew with the arrival of two beautiful children. It was also during this time that I founded Adorations, an invitations design company, blending my passion for design with the joy of life's most special moments.

2007 - 2018

A Season of Growth

Embracing the role of an Art Director, Web & Digital for a global technology company, I led and collaborated with cross-functional teams, including visual designers, UX designers, copywriters, project managers, and developers. This is where I learned to develop and maintain cohesive creative vision and manage projects that span across web and digital platforms. This period was instrumental in refining my leadership skills and deepening my understanding of collaborative, innovative design solutions.
